I realize its only 3 games into the season, but I thought I would mention the bullpen anomaly that has occurred so far.

From a Redszone perspective, probably the two members of the bullpen that were the least populare choices on the 25 man roster were Mercker and Lincoln, and not counting Cordero and the designated Closer, the two most preferred Redszone choices were Weathers and Burton. In fact in the 25 man rosters, either preferred or predicted, I am not sure i saw one that included both Mercker and Lincoln, and only one that I remember that left off Burton (all had weathers as I recall). (Allfeldt and Coffey were in the middle, on some preferred lists, but off many others).

Well, so far this (incredibly short) season, Merck and Lincoln are strong, Burton and Weathers have the worst ERAs on the staff.

In others news the SPs ERA is currently 2.50 and the Bullpens ERA is 3.375.

Its early but you have to love both the bullpens (3.375) and starters (2.5) era. Throw in some better defense and we have a squad capable of giving us another fun season.

We will see what the Bullpen can do around 25 Games in, when Cueto or Volquez doesn't get out of the 1st and they are left to eat a bunch of innings in one week.
