Actually Bruce Berenyi pitched in one of those games in which a pitcher did something I will never forget.
In his big league debut vs stros, he walked the first six batters before being pulled not retiring a batter.
Went on to be a pretty good pitcher for the reds.

I was actually just thinking today about a new stat....a "no-outer"...which would ideally be just as rare as a no hitter.

It would be obviously for a starting pitcher who records no outs. The only question is how many batters minimum would a pitcher have to face in order to earn the dubious "no-outer".

If memory serves me correctly I witnessed a Jeff Austin debacle about 4-5 years back.

Off season acquisition Roger Nelson pitched brilliantly for over 5 innings as the Reds used timely hitting to edge the Phils 8-2. Nelson struck out 8. The Phils starter Ray Culp took the loss. Nelson pitched out of trouble fanning slugger Larry Hisle with men on base. The Reds offense was lead by the intrepid hitting from infielder rafael Santo Domingo who continues to be productive from the second slot in the line up. Leadoff hitter Joel Youngblood delivered two hits as did outfielder Larry Stahl who homered. The finale matches Dick Ruthven for the Phils vs. Charlie PUleo for the Reds.

In addition infielder JUlian Javier had three hits. The Milwaukee club had homers by Lee Maye and Billy Bruton but starter Billy O'dell took the loss. For the Reds strong relief was provided by Mike Smith, and Todd Williams. Tomorrow the Reds throw Doug Capilla the Milwaukee teams counters with JIm Slaton

While these are not my cup of tea, could you at least post the date that corresponds to the game? Are these games that were played on the same date many years ago, or just an arbitrary game you picked out from an old scorecard you kept?
