I like that he basically sticks to the same lineup allowing the players to know their roles consistently but, when it is not working I, like the rest of you, believe that he would be warranted to try something different. Something like putting Dunn or Edwin in front of Griffey or maybe both. Keppinger leading off with a guy that can actually manipulate the bat behind him. :)

They aren't going to bring Bruce up to sit on the bench. They'll only do it if there is room for him in the outfield.

The logical choice would be Patterson to the bench, but he's probably been the Reds best position player so far this season, so that isn't going to happen for the time being.

This infield defense is still among the bottom 5 in MLB. Nothing's changed since last year.

Among Arroyo, the youngness of the other two, and Fogg, I'd say the Reds' rotation has a ton of questions, too.

Add in an offense that's likely to be slightly lower than middle of the pack even on a good day, and you can't help but fear a little bit.

He's free to wave the "no trade" clause any time he wants to. But I'm sure he'd be somewhat picky about where he'd be willing to go. Couple that with the limited amount of teams that might want him and I think it's somewhat unlikely that he gets traded. At least before the all star break anyway.

Patterson's BABIP is .194 right now.

His balls in play are already doing that. He's a lifetime .307.

I would suggest that when he starts to return to normal, his average will go up.
