fielder's choice

I know it's early in the season but I was just checking out some stats and noticed that the club is last in the NL in K's (fewest). Could Baker's philosophy of being aggressive be making guys swing at tough pitches early in the count, and hitting the ball poorly, or is it just a coincidence? The offensive struggles likely have more to do with the cleanup hitter barely OPSing 700, but its something to keep an eye on.

He got it!

I wouldn't be too worried - the strikeouts will come. :D
I think Baker was mostly refering to Dunn and Votto if I remember right when asking players to be more aggressive early in the count. You see how well Dunn listens, leading the world in walks. Votto on the other hand seems to have taken his advice and in return has had some fat pitches to drive over teh fence. I know atleast that homer in Chicago off of Lilly was on a first pitch hanging breaking ball.
