May 2 Gallardo suffered a torn ACL during a collision on Thursday and is likely out for the season, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
Recommendation: Gallardo collided with Reed Johnson of the Cubs on Thursday, but pitched the next inning anyways. He was sent back to Milwaukee after the game, and an examination revealed the ACL tear. After starting the year on the DL, Gallardo posted a 1.80 ERA in three starts before going down again. This will be a huge loss for the Brewers, as the inconsistent Dave Bush will likely be returning to the rotation in Gallardo's spot.
