Ledezma has a nice fastball but he isn't throwing the slider enough and that inning was the first time he showed a changeup. He keeps throwing 90% heat and the Reds will wear him out.

Janish assumed wrong that 1st pitch after walk would be right down the pipe.

Pitch was close to a ball ....better off leaving it alone or going the other way it.

I think it has more to do with the game calling. They use Bako almost exclusively for Cueto since Cueto doesn't call is own game. We already know Ross is Arroyo's favorite catcher. That's my thought.

Just went back and watched the video of Votto's HR. The guy has a pretty sweet swing. He seems to be an extreme streak hitter. Would like to see him develop some consistency where he is a little more even keel.

Agree. But have to keep in mind that Arroyo is much more effective against righty hitters. Lefties have historically given him a lot more trouble.

Still that was obviously a mistake pitch by Bronson.

Even if he'd played it quicker and held the batter to a double both those runners score on that 2 out drive. Wasn't Junior's fault that time.

With EE out, Gonzo out, Kepp out, Reds don't really have another third baseman.

Hopefully Janish will some day be the infield backup and can bring good defense around the horn. Despite his error on this trip, I'm impressed with Janish defensively.

They really are. There are errors all over MLB that the scorers let slide. Up one guy's avg and save another's fldg pct. None of them want to be the "enemy"

I know the LOB are frustrating but they've had a hard hit ball by Arroyo turn into a DP, a ball barely go foul that would have driven in a few, and a few hard hit balls there by Janish that would have driven in one. That's just baseball. Hopefully it won't come back to bite them..

Padres have a pretty bad bullpen but they're looking good tonight.

Well, we haven't scored off them , but they've given up a ton of baserunners.

None has looked particularly effective.

Another Freel error is scored an infield hit. Freel really can't play the infield anymore. He used to be passable but this is brutal.

I think the SD scorer stinks. The error was definitely on Votto as the toss was too high for a shovel toss; and he's given SD two infield hits tonight that should have been errors on Freel.
