The home plate ump tonight is ANDY FLETCHER, who averages 7.68 runs, 14.2 Ks, and 7.1 BBs, per game. The games he calls are lower scoring than most umps. (Source: The Umpire Report (http://www.vegasinsider.com/mlb/stats/umpire-report/))

Being that each team has already scored a run in the first, we shall see if averages hold up.

I don't know. His last outing was damned good. He didn't get the W, but he should have.

6.0 ip / 6 hits / 1 r / 1 bb / 1 k / 102 pc

He's missing more bats tonight though. That minor stint may have done him some good.

Yeah at this point you wonder if it's time to move him while he still has some of the potential tag left.

I also wonder if he's simply over-worked year round and has had bad coaching for too long.

We've been hanging onto to his plate discipline and range for a long time now. You wonder if he's really going to improve or become consistent at this point, or not, or if some coaching and some more time-off in the off season, will turn him around...still young.

vs RH'd pitchers..... .161 BA .219 OB% .305 SLG% .524 OPS
vs LH'd pitchers..... .371 BA .430 OB% .674 SLG% 1.104 OPS

So I have no problem with removing Bray. But I would have brought in Burton, not Majik.

Right. But Burton is the 8th inning guy. If only the Brewers would've waited a couple innings. Just bad luck is all.........
