Just sitting his lefties, I guess. Patterson over Bruce is a head scratcher though.

Sabathia's career splits:

vL: .243/.303/.373

I'm not so sure about that. Who's out that's normally in there? Junior, Bruce & Votto. Junior is a defensive liability and CC owns lefties. Bruce has been struggling lately...and CC owns lefties. Votto could use a day off...and CC owns lefties. :O) Yes, I know that Joey hits lefties very well, but I don't have a problem with Andy getting a spot start. If we're going to win versus CC...it's in a low scoring game. That means we need the D and the ability to play small ball. Votto, Junior & Bruce are all bunting liabilities too. All in all, I kinda like this lineup in this situation. Besides, once we get into their bullpen, look at our pinchhitters available. Nice.

Sooo overrated. I made the comment a couple of weeks ago about how hittable Bray was. Someone retorted with all kinds of stats showing he wasn't. I can see how hard the ball is hit off of his pitches. I wouldn't trust him with more than a four run lead.
