I liked the shot he took at the former Reds regime there -- thanking the Washington Nationals and Jim Bowden for giving him a job after his playing career was over.

I know. I can't get over how long he's rambling. I mean it's his night, I get it...but seriously, somebody needs to run over there and tackle him. :D

i missed the beginning...did the chief get to speak?

Yes. It was brief and to-the-point. He thanked the Reds, and said that he was very proud to be a part of the BRM. He then concluded by thanking the fans--"the best fans in the world".

Kc61
07-19-2008, 08:17 PM
All the lefties have made out, as Votto flies out. Two of the righties have hits, Kepp and EE.

Notice a pattern. Not a wise lineup tonight. Couldn't Griffey have used a night off before tomorrow's day game?

Maybe Ross will do something.

_Sir_Charles_

At the end of 2, 1-0 Mets. Not hot against Perez as he is now 1-21 against him, but what are Dusty's choices? I mean, the catchers simply are clueless at the plate for the most part.

_Sir_Charles_

Earlier in the game, Mets announcers said that Dunn leads NL left fielders in outfield put outs. He seems to be more active, covering more ground this year.

Offensively, Dunn has been terrific lately.

Right now, if I'm a contending GM who's paying attention and isn't hung up on BA, I'm calling Walt about Adam Dunn.

Thats surprising considering how tough Feliciano can be on lefties.

I think a big part of it is him having that knee surgery this past offseason.

$3 million for a 9th inning replacement, which is about the only thing he's good for. Thankfully, FINALLY, Dusty is realizing that.

Gotta love it.
