Agreed. Filthy movement, throwing 3 pitches for strikes, missing bats galore, and stellar control. Ross is a good platoon guy. Or maybe a back up who gets a fair amount of playing time. But the team, offensively and defensively, needs a lead catcher. There is nobody in the high minors who is going to be a starting catcher for this team so the guy has to come from outside.

Reds would also need a very good fourth outfielder because, without Griffey, you have Hairston starting and he is injury prone. So they can't just go with Dunn, Hairston and Bruce. They need a good fourth.

That also leaves the left side of the infield. Not sure shortstop is resolved. Quite sure EE will stay at third next year, hope he cuts down on the errors.

we will need a few more outfielders though..

My biggest fear is that they'll let Dunn and Griffey walk, and we'll be left with Bruce, Hopper, and Freel in the outfield next year. Yes, we need a power hitting outfielder to replace those two, but they come at a premium that might make Dunn look cheap.

It's ok. The pen is gassed, Cueto isn't laboring out there.

I just have a problem with babying these starting pitchers too much. They need to be trained to go seven or eight innings.

Majewski is warming, if this inning goes any longer he'll get the call.

Two outs, pitcher up. Last batter for Cueto whatever happens.
