I fear for it already. Unless something is done soon, it will be a task that not only no one will want to tackle, but dang near impossible without 100's of millions of dollars. The sins of Jim Bowden, Dan O'Brien, Wayne Krivsky, Carl Lindner, and finally Robert Castillini will have, in effect, destroyed one of the oldest franchises in sports history.

You have to wonder what happens to players and pitchers when they come to the Reds. It must be something in the water.

Last year, Affeldt at Colorado, pitched 59 innings and allowed 47 hits. This year, he has already pitched more innings (60) and allowed more hits (61). Cordero pitched 63 innings and allowed 52 hits but only walked 18 all year. He's already walked 31 here and his ERA has balooned by a run.

Can't figure it out at all.

That's a stretch, because the Ms, Nats and Padres have a huge lead over the REDs. Fifth looks very attainable, perhaps 4th, especially if the reds keep fielding these players.

He's getting tired of how the hitters are just going up hacking and how Baker let Patterson hit against Byrdak when he had 3 right handed bats on the bench.

He also said something about the Reds having Hairston on the roster when he's not healthy enough to play right now.

It's pretty bad when the TV commentator is smarter than the manager.

I've been trying to keep an open mind, but frankly, Dusty isn't a very savvy manager. He has so may tools at his disposal but refuses to use them. Whether is stubborness or ignorance, I don't know. If it's the latter, he needs to get with it.
