He currently stands at 37 HR's and 93 rbi's. Will he make 40? Will he break 100 rbi?

Maybe his career HR totals are inflated from playing in GABP? :p:

Is there some magical value to the number 40?

His rate numbers are pretty in line with his career.

I don't think that 40 and 100 are out of the question yet.

He'll get to 40 on the last day of the season, like he always does, going 1 for 4 with 3 K's and a HR.

Another game winning hit for Dunner last night. I can't think of a more clutch player.

Dunn is a clutch player, he proved it year after year. However, I can think of at least a dozen better clutch hitters than Dunn. Nothing against Dunn, being one of the top 20 clutch players in the majors is a very good thing, but it is pretty easy to think of guys who I'd rather have at bat in a clutch situation.

Off the top of my head:

Manny
Ortiz
Pujols
Berkman
Holiday
Wright
Utley
Chipper Jones
A-Rod
Braun
Longoria
M Ordonez
Hamilton
Vlad

How's Arizona doing since they got Dunn? He's leading them to the playoffs, right? Right?

Oh, wait . . .

I think he hit a solo shot tonight in his quest for 40.....he's now at 38. Can he get 2 more???? Can he?? Can he????

In all fairness... Brandon Webb got pounded by Los Angeles twice as did Haren. You can't blame Dunn for that. Dunn has been a good player for them down the stretch. Hasn't exploded like Manny has but he's played three positions, hit in the middle of the order productively, and had several game winning hits or HR for them.

Just like when Dunn was here, you can't blame him because they are not a complete team..... They still might catch LA. Dodgers are no sure thing this year.

If he gets it it will be 5 years in a row...
only A-ROD (6) And Babe Ruth (7) have longer streaks
in the history of the game....

The key is where will he be hitting HR next season?

Chicago Cubs?

To be fair, here are the splits since the trade...

TEAM G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG
Arizona 35 115 16 29 6 0 6 21 53 33 34 1 0 .423 .461 .252
Cincinnati 114 373 58 87 14 0 32 74 197 80 120 1 1 .373 .528 .233

The doubles number jumps out at me. Correlates to the ballpark?

He needs 1 Hr and 1 RBI for 40 and 100. It's almost amazing how he is like clockwork...

BTW it's speaks volumes about your line up when Dunn is 3RD in strikeouts in your lineup...

Reynolds has struck out a mind blowing 201 times... First player in MLB history to do so... But still OPSing .783...

I kinda hope he gets it.

I definitely hope he gets it. And I have a suspicion that he'll do it on the last day of the season with one swing of the bat. Like he did when he was here a few times. I miss Dunn.

i want him to get it too...he will go down (without injury) as one of the greatest HR hitters of all time before he retires.

He hit number 40 today off of Glendon Rusch. 40 HRs, 100 RBIs once again.
