View Full Version : I think the Reds are a victim of......

....having 4 outstanding young players in the majors - Votto, Bruce, Cueto, and Volquez........and a pretty good minor league system. Every team that wants to trade asks for Cueto or Bruce or something key part of the core of our team.

What cracks me up are some of the trades being made that absolutely have pittance as the return. I look at some of these trades and wonder why the Reds didn't get involved when I see what was dealt......the Reds have far better prospects to offer than most of these teams, but the bigger your pot of gold, the more they seem to want. If they trade with a team that has very little, they don't expect much. It sucks.

Really?? Do you realize that Javier Valentin had 201 plate appearances during the 2006 season? You might want to check your statistics before you post next, dude.

No one said those prospects are already in the majors. Give it some time, at least the potential is there for some solid guys to come up. Javy is just hoping its later rather than sooner.

I have no idea what your post meant and I have no idea what relevance it had to the original post.

I think the OP is saying that other teams will try to get more from the Reds than teams with less of a farm system.

Biggg's post? I have no friggen' idea. Wrong side of bed syndrome?
