Mark Cuban would be great for baseball.

Agreed. Look what he's done for Dallas in the NBA. Imagine what he could do with a place like Cincinnati. We are ready to just explode back to some sense of glory. He would be the (major) catalyst we would need.

 You don't trust him? It's not like he's the president, he's a freaking sports owner. What's not to trust?

He would be great for the reds? He was caught with insider trading, so we need someone who is a cheater in Cincinnati, yeah right. He may bring big change and I agree it is what we need but we dont need Cuban. Plenty of guys can bring good change.

I mean, we did have Pete Rose... and he did pretty good here. Betting on the sport you play is basically insider trading.

So are you saying that all the Reds previous owners were saints?

I believe your innocent until proven guilty. We can decide for sure when the trial is over.

I think part of this is political. Didn't Cuban just critizize the government for not putting a entrpeneur on the cabinet

Another good point, why would Cuban worry that much about 3/4 of a million? That guy is worth BILLIONS. Not worth the risk to him. He didn't get that rich being stupid. You could have said the same about Martha Stewart, but this seems different to me at least.

I think Cuban's case will be hard to prove in court. He was called during a Mavricks game on his cell phone. Cuban said he never was told the information was confidential, the CEO that called him said he did say it.

It will be settled out of court. It's not in criminal court, but civil court.

Schmidty....Cuban puts himself out there as a personality...so I think its fair game for those to judge him...he strikes me as a "snake oil salesman". I do not think he would be good for baseball and think eventually he will spend some time behind bars....
