Opening Day is (obligatory, "next to my anniversary date") my favorite day of the year....I am "middle aged" and still get so jacked up that I cant sleep the night before and leave for Cincy from Columbus at 6 am the day of....

had to walk 4 miles to get there.. pretty sure the 10 dollar lot within 1/4 of the stadium would have been a better idea.. heck.. the 5 dollar one 1/2 mile away.. or the 1 dollar ones bout a mile away are far better investments in your time.. sounds like it was bad planning on your part.. or i woulda called a taxi....

For me personally - Opening day is a holiday. I would always skip class, and this year i have already called off work. There is something about that first game/first week of baseball that is just magical. It's what keeps me coming back.

Man, I am [I]almost [I]glad I dont live near Cincy to make it to games, it would piss me off to be a real fan and not get tix cause its the popular hip thing to do to go to Opening Day, then not show up again all season-at least until the first bobblehead giveaway. I know it would never happen, and dont even know how they would do it, but OD tix should be based on fan points, attendance or something so the Real Reds fans can get in (and I know its not all the crowd, but sure a good % there for the social aspect of OD more then the game itself).

Me and the wife struck out again. Since they started this drawing I do not personally know anyone that has won.
I was lucky a number of years ago and was able to get through the old-style waiting room. Saw the Reds defeat the Mets when Joe Randa, I think, hit the GW HR. I remember looking at our driver in the 7th, and he was passed out.

i know someone who used to work for a ticketing agency and they would have to create as many email addresses as possible for various drawings like this. i think some people had over 100 email accounts there.

Me, got my ticket from buying the 20 game pack, but no Lottery luck X 3 now. Same for my bro' from Fla, nephew from Columbus. I'd think it was a hoax but my bro' did hit it 2 years ago. Guess it's an attempt to keep scalpers from buying them up, although got several of the family's tickets last year from a scalper anyway.
