"You gotta love Rays baseball!" is the commercial spot between innings. We're going into the bottom half of the third inning, scoreless between the reigning American League champs (funny to say that for Tampa Bay) and a Dusty Baker team that is going to run like crazy this year. Cincinnati is my darkhorse candidate for Shocktober, will say that right now. Gabe Gross batting against Edison Volquez.

Adam Rosales clubbed a two-run homer in the ninth after Daryle Ward singled. Rosales sprints the bases on walks and homers even faster than Pete Rose once did and after his homer he almost caught Ward between third and home on his home run spring. Not trotr, sprint.

Rosales got stiffed by Baker last year, I thought. You gotta love his energy and versatility (can play all INF positions and has stated a willingness to play OF). If some team wanted Kepp as part of a bigger deal, I think Rosales could fill ole Kepp's shoes pretty well. He does have a really unorthodox swing, though -- I don't think he's in the same league as Kepp in terms of pure hitting ability.

He was drafted during the O'Brien days. He has missed a lot of time over the past couple seasons with injury. He's just mid-minors organizational filler, but then again, the same was said about Ryan Hanigan at one point. Denove has great OBP skills, but unfortunately, his power falls way short.

True for this game, but it's only the first of Spring Training. There was a potential run from of a single but Votto was thrown out at the plate.
