I was thinking about hanging out in chat in case anyone feels like stopping in.

Arroyo throws a scoreless first inning.

SB by Phillips. He's shaken up.

Looks like he put his head into the Third baseman's leg while sliding head-first.

But he's alright.

Nice atbat by Taveras. He fell behind 1-2 against Lester but was able to work the count and draw a walk. Hopefully we see plenty of that this season.

Gonzalez singled. Votto lined out softly. Phillips RBI single, Gonzalez out at third. Phillips steals third as the throw goes into LF but Phillips injured himself and was unable to score. He appears to be OK.

1-0 Reds after one inning.

Didn't Dusty say something about getting the guys to slide feet first this season?

1-2-3 second inning for Arroyo with two K's and a groundout.

Nice atbat by Craig Tatum. After falling behind 0-2, he took a couple pitches, fouled off a few more and then lined a single into left on a 3-2 pitch. He's having a nice spring at the plate.

Grande's first "You know his story...." of the season: In reference to Bronson Arroyo swinging the bat in the bottom of the second, in the first televised spring game.

I was hoping he wouldn't make me wait all night for it.

Maybe I'll keep track this year.

Jon Lester's still batting on Gameday.

4-1 Red Sox on a couple 2-run homers. The wind is blowing out pretty hard.

The true sign of spring.

Chris Heisey pinch hits and hits a shot off the batters eye in CF. It looked liked a homer but the umps ruled it a triple.

They just showed it on ESPN, that was weird. Are you tv watchers getting radar gun readings? Cause Daniel Bard's supposed to pitch in this game.

Reds don't seem to win any spring games these days.

Arroyo's in midseason form.

Cordero's getting hit pretty hard again. 2 singles and a double, 1 run against, hasn't recorded an out yet.

(I think. I'm sort of mostly, half-way paying attention at this point.)

Red Sox radio guys seem a little concerned about Cordero.

Cordero gets a double play at 3B and 1B, but then walks the next better, followed by an 0-2 triple. He just doesn't have command of his stuff.

Dan Bard's in. Check the radar.

He didn't all last season, either.

Dan Bard's in. Check the radar.

Just so you know, he was pretty consistantly hitting mid 90's and hit 99 once that I saw.

Thanks for telling me. They keep saying he hits 100, but I've yet to see(or hear?) him do it.

Cordero ends up giving up 4 runs in his one inning of work.

Red Sox win 9-1. Box score is HERE (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=290319117).

And just in case anyone was interested the Radar gun had Cordero at around 93-94 with his FB, but he was tossing meatballs right accross the plate.

Cordero is really going to test Dusty's skills this year. How many games does Dusty let him blowup before he takes him out of the closer's role? They may need to DL him until he regains arm strength or whatever. We seem to have a plethora of RH relief pitching options. There's no reason to let him do what Danny Graves did to this team.

3 more years.
