I'm not sure. I think we'll see Stubbs up with the team some time this year. I think he'll be a tough CF or LF.

Not trying to jump on Dusty, just a question.

So far, the defense looks the same as it did last year. Should be two outs.

Defense and pitching both. The only thing that's looked good in both games has been the O. The more things change.

Neither starter going past 5 innings, lots of free passes, complete inefficiency on both starters' part; total inability to retire weak hitters. The defense has been bad too. But the offense has been good in both games, regardless of runs scored; they've worked the count, been patient.

And I'd give Dusty an error for leaving Volquez in against Beltran. Volquez was over 100 pitches and just had a tough at bat with Delgado. Guy is ready in the bullpen.

Their approach in the 1st inning and a half was fine on Monday, fcb, after that...not so much. Stop re-writing history. That was not anywhere close to a good offensive effort on Monday and it was only a close game because of the pitching staff.

Yep, pretty much exactly what I remember about him. He once was a good defensive SS, but man has he gone downhill. And it's too simple to say it's just "rust" this year because it's the exact same stuff he pulled in '07.
