The Reds need to make some tough choices right now. Bill Bray is facing Tommy John surgery so he needs to go on the disabled list to be replaced by Viola, Wood or Smit, all of whom appear to be deserving.

Masset should go on the DL and Maloney should be brought up if only for a spot start on Wenesday. Dusty already said he needed lefthanders angainst the Phillies. Maloney did pitch 7 innings Saturday though so essentially he and Owings would both be short on rest Wednesday.

Following that, maybe the Reds should give Fisher a look. He has done well this year with the bats, and he looked all right in Spring Training.

Dag, when did that happen, I thought I just read that Bray was in L-ville and doing better-for now at least.

But the reports from Louisville were that he was making strides toward getting healthy, and now this bombshell.

I guess that Kearns/Lopez for Majewski/Bray has come full circle now as a bust.
