Our Starting pitching from a different view

Here's what I did: I took away the 2 best and the 2 worst starts from Harang, Arroyo, Cueto, and Owings and calculated their new numbers. (Obviously, the starts I picked area bit subjective, but most are pretty easy to pick.) I took the 1 best and 1 worst from Volquez and here's how they end up.

Just some food for thought. . . a few surprising numbers to try and rid of the outliers in their starts. Had I went another start, I think Arroyo's numbers would be even better.

Arroyo has a horrible start every month, like 2 innings in and you may as well call it a day start.

I'd like to see Arroyo have half-way decent outings in half of his starts. That would be a miracle this season.

I was amazed the other day after Harang's last start that his ERA is still under 4.
It just seems like he isnt the same Harang yet his ERA is still decent.

Owings: for all the knocks on him, I would rather right now have him on the mound in a big game than Bronson.

Harang has something like 115 hits allowed in 98 IP. Thank god he's not walking people, but that may actually be a bad thing. Maybe he should walk another person or two instead of giving someone a pitch to hit.
