We'll open up with the Cardinals on opening day.

Interleague we get to go to Seattle, Oakland, and Cleveland. Welcoming Cleveland and the Royals. Less then desirable interleague schedule (but possibly soft).

A couple West coast swings late in the year. Thoughts?

As you stated, while maybe not as attractive, the inter league seems softer.
However, getting Carpentar and Wainright in the first 2 games, I'd say there's a good chance on some of our guys getting out of the gate slowly.

The Reds will play interleague series at home against Cleveland and Kansas City. They travel to Seattle, Oakland, and Cleveland.

For the first time in the last three years, the Cubs will make three trips to Cincinnati next season.

Just like 2007, the Dodgers will be the only non-divisional team to visit Cincinnati twice. The Reds do not visit any non-divisional team on the road twice.

The Reds do not play a NL West team on the road until they visit Arizona on August 17.

They will have a four-day All-Star Break for the first time since 2005.

In 2010, the Reds will be out of town for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

An 3-city, 11-game road trip just before the All Star Break (Cubs, Mets, Phillies) and a 3-city, 9-game West Coast trip in August (DBacks, Dodgers, Giants). These 3-city tours tend to be back breakers for the Reds.

I can't imagine that teams with the payroll muscle of the Mets and Cubs will struggle as badly next year either, so that could potentially be a KILLER 11-game series. We always struggle at Dodger Stadium, and the Giants usually trot out good pitching, so that will be tough as well.

Does anyone know what date the Civil Rights game is to be?

Every series for the last decade has been a backbreaker for us.

Does anyone know what date the Civil Rights game is to be?As far as I know, it is still TBA.

This year's game was on a Saturday in mid-June. The Reds play Kansas City on Saturday, June 12. They also play Cleveland on Saturday, June 26.

My guess is the Kansas City game because it involves both leagues and involves more than one region of the country.

Sucks... The Reds only visit Milwaukee twice in 2010. :(

It's normally 3 times. Guess they won't get as much of my money next year.

Cards followed by the Scrubs then a trip to Florida. What a way to start the year, well know 10 games in the type of team we have. After a series at Pittsburgh we got LA. We'll definately know where we stand by the end of April. We wont even have to wait til the deadline.
