NCAA- Die Hard UC fan.
NFL- Bengals
NBA-I have stretches where I root for teams, right now I like Oklahoma City because Kevin Durant is a stud and very underrated in my opinion.
NHL- I don't have a favorite team and I don't even know all of the rules but I do watch the Stanley Cup Finals.

I spent the summer there a few years back. I was treated really well by everyone in the city and even got a private tour of Ashton Gate and met some of the players before they left for an away match. Needless to say, they won a supporter for life!

NFL: Bengals (waning interest in the league is lessening this love...)
NBA: Warriors - I'm not really a diehard, but they are so dysfunctionally entertaining.
NCAAF: OU, UK (in that order)
NCAAB: OU, UK, UC (childhood love), XU (related to Joe Sundermann) (in that order)
MLS: Crew, I love me some GBS
NHL: Jackets (or as I call it, rooting for a yo-yo)
World Soccer: Team USA (which should be every good Patriot's first love), Everton - Go Timmy Howard and Landon.
Tennis: Nadal (Lefties unite!)
Golf: Tiger - I'm always drawn to greatness and jerks (and I made this assessment before Tiger's indiscretions) It is amazing that someone can make golf on TV actually compelling.

NFL: Cowboys

CBB: Kentucky
I don't follow the NBA much anymore. I watched the NBA a lot throughout the 80's and into the 90's but after the great players of that era retired I lost interest. I will show my age here, but the last pro basketball team I really rooted for was the old ABA team,Kentucky Colonels.
NFL: Colts
NBA: Pacers, Nuggets
NCAA BB: IU, basically all of the other Indiana schools except Purdue
NCAA FB: Notre Dame, IU
Soccer:United States Men's National Team. Been to almost 10 matches now. World Cup in just a few short months; can't wait.
English Soccer: Reading FC
NCAA (all sports): Kentucky
NAIA: Georgetown College
NHL: Blackhawks (mainly from the Roenick, Belfour, Chelios days until their recent "apologies" to the fans after the death of Bill Wirtz. Wirtz made it almost literally impossible to give a crap about the 'Hawks.)
NFL: Bengals
NBA: Watch casually, but the idea of a 'favorite NBA Team' seems silly to me.

How is watching soccer better than watching paint dry?
Convince me.

Says a poster on a baseball board. :)
I think it is like anything else: either you like it or you don't. I like soccer just like I like football, basketball and hockey. It is just a shade above those others as my second favorite sport...though a distant second to hardball it is. Much like baseball the game has a tremendous cultural history and is fun to follow day to day not just on gameday.
I love baseball. Everything else is just filler until summer comes round.

either you like it or you don't.
Yeah, I guess it could be that.
It seems like it's always the same thing, but I guess you could say that about any sport.

I really gathered an appreciation for Soccer when I was covering the IU team for the newspaper. I gained the appreciation because 1) IU was really good and 2) Watching games from the press box allows you to see plays develop better than on TV.
People are familiar with football so they don't see it this way but my wife always gets mad when the team just runs up the middle. "It never goes anywhere, stupidest play in sports."

I don't follow NASCAR like I once did, but Martin is my favorite these days, as well, and for the same reason. The guys that have come up in the past ten years are cut from a different cloth than the generation that came before them.
