I'll have to Tivo or check out the recap later on the Reds as that is our spring break week and I'll be in the Caribbean.

They are being nice to us because Barry Larkin is there and they are just being polite!

Did anyone notice the host of the show (I'm not sure of his name) constantly saying how good the Reds offense is? I was just wondering which lineup he was looking at :) Still a good program. Said the usual hype about Chapman and Votto. Larkin probably gave the Reds a little homer treatment a little but it was enjoyable

I watched it and enjoyed it. After a long winter though they could sit there and just show a bullpen session for a class A pitcher and I would have liked it.

I read a few reviews over in the ORG that stated they were disappointed in the quality and "depth" of the analysis. But my take is that the 30 - 30 preview of a team is not for the hardcore fan of that team. It's more for the fans of the other teams to get that 50,000 foot view of the Reds and see what they are about. I know I have really enjoyed watching all of the other teams 30 - 30 specials.

Oh and to answer the question for the ORG, the all Homegrown team rules is the player had to spend time in the systems Minors, not be drafted by that team. Franco made 29 appearances over the course of two seasons (83, 84) in the minors for the Reds before making it to the MLB team in 1984. Thats why he was on the all Homegrown team for the Reds.
