There is no better way to make the tourney then beating Kent, Miami, and Akron. None.
I am most pleased.

OU back in the tourney and UK back with the big boys. I feel that my $50,000 was well spent...;)

It won't be a 2 seed. Ohio's not a 15. Maybe a 14, but I would think maybe a 13.

Ohio's RPI before the win tonight was 107.
I'm fairly certain we'll be a 15 seed.

Take a look at some of the other autobids. OU won't be a 15.

Yeah, I looked around and they might get a 14 seed.
I'd almost rather have a shot at OSU as a 15 seed though. It would be interesting at least.

Bracketology has them as a 14 in Providence with a second round date with Xavier after they stun Villanova.

No...but, have you read The Macrophenomenal Pro Basketball Almanac from the guys at FreeDarko? It has a great section on Gerald Wallace/Josh Smith. Highly entertaining stuff.

I was uptown to watch the game, but I'm too old for the post game celebration silliness.
I'll grab a burrito tomorrow afternoon and let everyone know if the town is still standing!

Is the CI still there? It has been awhile. :)
If I heard correctly, their first BIG DANCE win since 1983.

It sure is.
I spent an unhealthy amount of time in that place between 1986-1993. Many of my friends worked there and just recently I was sent a picture of two of my friends kids sitting at the bar there.

Way cool OUReds. Thanks for sharing. I worked at the Casa Nueva BTW which is in the background of the crowd scene (for those who don't know Athens)

Interesting. I'm assuming you are a Miami fan so can you really be happy about OU winning?

I'm guessing he is in Miami Township which is actually just outside of Cincinnati in the Milford area, if that is what you are basing this off of. Just clearing that up. ;)

Only twice has a 14 seed made it to the sweet sixteen. Can OU become the third by beating Tennessee?

You are correct! I told my wife I had to take a shower after the game last night because I felt dirty cheering for Ohio U!

I'm going to go ahead and say no.
Tennessee could be an intriguing matchup for Ohio State as well. If Tennessee is able to advance, there could be a Tennessee-Kansas rematch.

I would have said the same for Miami. But, it is about time that the MAC stands up for itself. It has been a few rough years since the Kent State team.
