I missed what happened in the first for the Giants, but it's 1-0 Giants. 3 hits, no K's, no BB's.

Dickerson w/ a lead off double (either a single and a SB, or a double), O-Cab flied out, then w/ Votto up, Dickerson easily stole 3B. 1 out.

Votto up.

SirFelixCat

Votto w/ a soft grounder to 2B and they only have a play @ 1B and Dickerson scores. 1-1!

SirFelixCat

BP grounds out, 6-3.

Thru 1, 1-1!

Uribe w/ a can of corn. F-8. 1 down. Schierholtz up.

Hard hit ball, but Dickerson makes the routine play. Bailey pitching well and 'pitching' well, per Marty & Cowboy. 2 down.

SirFelixCat

After a full-count walk to Whiteside, he gets an easy combacker to the mound to end the threat. Thru. 1.5, 1-1.

Rolen, Bruce, Vlad due up.

A long out to RCF for Bruce. Bah. 1 out.

In the SF first, I missed how Rowand got on, but the others hits were a dribbler between 1b and pitcher that Sandoval beat out. Hit real, real, REAL weak according to Marty and Joe. The run scored on a ball from Huff that was blooped just over 3b and hit chalk. Balentin threw Huff out as he tried to stretch it into a double.

That was how the run scored. The two hits I heard were not rockets, far from it.

A long out to RCF for Bruce. Bah. 1 out.

That long out was Balentin. Bruce had Kd.

My XM was cutting out (had to reposition my antenna). My bad. You'll have to take over now, though. Errands beckon.

I can't take over. Heading to my first baseball practice as a coach. Of 7-8 year olds. My son is 8 and has not played since he was 5. This should be interesting.

Reds are up 2-1 in the fourth inning (I think) after another Joey RBI ground out. I can't do any PBP since I have to head home from work but I figured I would update the score since I just looked at it. :D

Third inning run:

A walk
single by Dickerson
bunt by Cabrera
4-3 with RBI by Votto

Cowboy and Thom discuss at length the benefit of manufacturing runs.

Very nice work from Homer today. 5 innings, 1 run (on a couple of "cheap" hits, according to Brantley). Good job, Homer!

easy final inning for Bailey

5 innings 1 run 3 hits 1 BB 0K

Bailey threw a lot of strikes and had the Giants swinging early and often.

Francisco hits against the lefty, Affeldt, and doubles. Then on an error, Francisco scores to give Reds a one run lead. Now Cairo is on third with one out.

Miles then doubles in an insurance run, 5-3.

Say what you want about Francisco, but since the middle of last year he has hit, hit, hit.
