To clear up last inning's issue: With Ichiro on 1st and Wilson at third, Ichiro stole second, and intentionally got in a rundown so Wilson could score. It worked.

When I was watching the minor league practices on the 13th, they were practicing that very drill on the Lynchburg field. Great practice for the infielders and base runners alike.

leake has made it through 4 with only 51 pitches. that is one good way to pitch your way into the 5th starter spot.

Sorry for the interruption, but is anyone else using MLB Gameday with that annoying Can Am Spyder RT ad in the bottom right corner? I can't even see the Mariners pitcher(s) lines because of that thing. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this?

No, and you're not alone. I commented on it to MLB via the support forum...not that I was expecting a reply. Just hoping they notice it prior to opening day.

Nice quick 1-2-3 inning there for Wood. 2 k's (Figgins & Junior).

All in all, Leake was more impressive, but Travis hasn't been bad either. Not sure today answers any questions....yet.

Corey Patterson sighting! :O)

03-26-2010, 06:50 PM
Oh well. At least it doesn't count, right? RIGHT?

Seriously though, some good things today. Leake & Wood both pitched exceedingly well. Votto broke out of his spring funk. Balentin showed some skill in the outfield. Francisco continues to show he's got the bat for the bigs right NOW. All in all, not a bad day.

And hey, even though it was against the Reds...I'll always like hearing Junior go yard with the sacks jammed. How can anyone root against Griffey?
