Is anyone else getting Cav's post game instead of the Reds game? Am I missing something?

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:11 PM
Dickerson, Cabrerra, and Votto all single to start the game. Reds up 1-0, none out in 1st.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:13 PM
Phillips also singles, Reds up 2-0. Bruce then pops up to left, missed by LF in the lights, scored a single, Reds up 3-0.

Wow.... thanks FSN Ohio. I am glad I got Cav's post game AND COMMERCIALS AFTER IT, instead of the first 5 Reds hitters down here in Cincinnati.

mbgrayson

Gomes Ks swinging on a low pitch. Francisco hits a perfect 4-6-3 grounder, but 2B bobbles, only get the out at first, and the 4th run scores.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:17 PM
Hannigan flies out to right. Reds lead 4-0.

03-31-2010, 10:18 PM
I was dreading having to hear some other team's broadcaster's, as I had completely forgotten that VIN SCULLY happened to be the Dodger's broadcaster. Awesome to hear him call a game.

Gomes catches Blake Dewitt's liner down the left field line and jumps over the foul line fence. Nice catch...

HeatherC1212
03-31-2010, 10:22 PM
That catch by Gomes was amazing and I'm glad he didn't break his neck hurdling that wall in left field!

Redsfan320

Great catch by Gomes a few minutes ago! Wood seems to have good stuff tonight. I'm hoping Leake gets the 5th spot, but the more good pitching the Reds have, the better.

mbgrayson

03-31-2010, 10:32 PM
I think the Dodgers forgot how to play baseball tonight, LOL

YAY for Joey hitting a double and getting another RBI out of it! :D

Love listening to Vin Scully tonight, especially when he's talking about Joey. :p:

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:34 PM
Votto doubles to the RF wall, scoring Cabrerra. Reds up 7-0.
Phillips works a full count, then flies to right, Votto to third.

reds44
03-31-2010, 10:34 PM
I'll never get over "the Franchise" story about Brandon Phillips.

BoydsOfSummer
03-31-2010, 10:35 PM
Vin talks as much as Grande...he's just waaaay less annoying. :D He called the Dodgers rednecks ROFL.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:36 PM
Jay Bruce doubles down the right field line, Votto scores. 8-0.

reds44
03-31-2010, 10:36 PM
Why did the Dodgers have the infield in down 7-0 in the 2nd inning?

GADawg
03-31-2010, 10:37 PM

HeatherC1212
03-31-2010, 10:38 PM
I'm glad that wasn't the third out but why did Gomes go past first base?

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:38 PM
Gomes lines a single to left, Bruce scores, Dodgers cut off the throw to the plate and get Gomes going to 2nd. Reds up 9-0.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:39 PM
Francisco hits one off the top of the left-center wall(high), double.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:40 PM
Hannigan slashes one to Hu, who bobbles, throws to first, and gets a "mercy out" according to Scully. Reds up 9-0 after one and a half.

Redsfan320
03-31-2010, 10:40 PM
Wow. Awesome night for the Reds bats. That hit by Francisco should have been a homer, the wall was very high.

Lets go ahead and count this one....

BoydsOfSummer
03-31-2010, 10:41 PM
Nothing like a 70 degree March day in Cincy and a good drubbing of the Dodgers to lift one's spirits.

RBA
03-31-2010, 10:41 PM
Love the "mercy out" comment. Looks like the UMPS had enough of this "exhibition" by the Dodgers.

HeatherC1212
03-31-2010, 10:42 PM
Theories about the game tonight:

1. The Reds are just getting prepared for the crazy Ohio spring weather and needed a cold night for their offense to come alive.

2. This Dodgers pitcher just sucks.

3. They're tired of everyone talking about the pitching and decided they needed to put some runs on the board today (this theory works pretty well considering the offense came alive in the first game earlier tonight too).

4. Dusty told the guys that Redszone was all ready antsy about the offense and told them they better get a lot of hits tonight to calm everyone down. :p:

fugowitribe
03-31-2010, 10:43 PM
Is it just me, or did Hanigan put on some weight.

reds44

5 up, 5 down, 5 Ks

Not bad.

fugowitribe
03-31-2010, 10:45 PM
I think if we have any kind of struggle from the 5 that go to Cincy, this staff is deep to the minors. Competition on your heels will create a good thing for the Reds.

I had tennis on but the game is on now.

Same here- I missed the first few runs. Was gettin' kinda worried.

Let's hope that what happened in Vegas with this offense, doesn't stay in Vegas.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:50 PM
Scully says Woods fastball at 91.

Casey Blake Ks swinging.

Wood has been falling behind everybody.

3 straight walks.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:54 PM
Hu walks, loading the bases.

Woods is already at 45 pitches after only 2 innings.

HeatherC1212
03-31-2010, 10:56 PM
He's either getting ahead of hitters and then not putting them away or falling behind and then coming back to strike them out. There's no middle ground tonight, LOL

FINALLY, the third out! :D

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 10:56 PM
Prentice Redman(lf) hits into a 6-4 force. After 2, Reds 9, Dodgers 0. Wood finishes the 2nd w/ 48 pitches so far.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 11:01 PM

I can see where the potential is in Wood...but the guy really has trouble finishing as well.

HeatherC1212
03-31-2010, 11:08 PM
Who should have had that pop up? It was closer to Hanigan than Joey but I understand Ryan backing off if Joey called for it. The wind seems to be playing havoc with some of the pop ups tonight.

Wow, Wood seems to be on track again after the last inning. Another strike out. :)

mbgrayson

Casey Blake then doubles Kemp home. 9-1.

reds44
03-31-2010, 11:13 PM

HeatherC1212
03-31-2010, 11:14 PM
The centerfield in that ballpark is huge! Wow, I think Vin said something about that earlier but you could really see it on that last out when Chris caught that ball.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 11:14 PM
Hoffman flies to center....deep. (Vegas is 433 to center field wall..)

Joey is 3-3 tonight. :D

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 11:17 PM
Joey Votto doubles the other way. 3 for 3 now... Scully raving over him.

mbgrayson
03-31-2010, 11:19 PM
