INDIANAPOLIS -- Ohio State junior swingman Evan Turner is the runaway choice as The Associated Press' college basketball player of the year.
The 6-foot-7 Turner, who averaged 20.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists, received 54 votes from the 65-member national media panel.

His Syracuse team was unranked in the preseason and rose to No. 1.
Boeheim received 38 votes from the 65-member national media panel, well ahead of Kansas State's Frank Martin, who had eight.
