Sometimes you got to piss and sometimes you got to argue a call. Sometimes both happens within minutes.

Best moment of the season so far....better than the Grand Slam for me. I love Defense. It made me feel stupid for not even considering having Phillips here for 2011.

Yeah, I guess that is worth $11/12M. Who cares about his .700-ish OPS against RHP and having him mis-cast as a cleanup hitter.
Barring a breakout year, and/or some miracle epiphany on how to hit RHP, the Reds should be doing their best to shop BP at the ASB or the off-season.

While I said 2 years ago that 2010 would have to be his last year, his level of Defense is still outstanding and will be in 2011, too. We should do what we can to win a Championship in 2011. If that means spending a few extra dollars to retain a GG who bats among the Top-10 at his position, then that's a great thing. To argue against that is not understandable.
Losing Harang and/or Arroyo for 2011 frees up money.
Having a Gold Glove 2nd Baseman with an OPS of .740 who'll steal 20+ bases and have him bat 7th in the lineup, would be a great thing.

"having him bat 7th", that right there is the key. Phillips has no business hitting in the 3 hole. He let that go to his head and now he keeps swinging for the fences.
