I just found that funny. Well at least those who knew what the Hook is but not an Uncle Charlie are now educated on the matter.

It also doesn't help that his breaking stuff continues to hang up high in the zone.

Harang is so frustrating to watch right now. He's no better than a fifth starter at this point. If Maloney pitches well in his next start, why not move Harang to set-up man, slide Masset to middle relief, and send Ondrusek to AAA? It wouldn't cost anything, as Harang is a sunk cost at this point anyway and he may find new life (in both his fastball and his career).

It's not like it could hurt.

(If he contues to struggle, I'd look at moving Bailey in the same manner in either late May or June, as Chapman gets more relaxed in professional baseball.) Now, though, Bailey gets more rope, as he's more likely to be a TOR starter, has better stuff, and a smaller contract.

Coming late to the party. How's Harang look? I see the results, but is he missing spots? How's the slider breaking? Velocity?

Velocity is fine when he wants to throw hard, but he continues to miss over the plate and his other pitches continue to hang up in the zone or miss the zone completely.

Bryan Price can't be sleeping well these days.

I can't imagine too many scenarios where the pitching could have been worse to this point.

Adios amigos, time to go jump on the mower.

When should we start holding him accountable for this mess?

The Reds could be the Dodgers or Red Sox. Their pitching has been worse so far.

I don't see how Harang will exit this game giving up less than 6 runs.

That wasn't too tough to peg.

Hernandez had all kinds of pitches down the heart of the plate to crush. The best he could do was foul 'em off or hit a weak pop fly out.

Just name a Dodger hitter and he'd be standing on 2nd right now.

Stubbs walks the bases full, but I'm still not sure how that 2-2 pitch to him was called a ball instead of strike 3. Ump's been really inconsistent.

The Dodgers look like they could just keep adding on.

Again, like last year, the Reds will find themselves overwhelmed by more talented teams.

Logan to AAA, Harang to the pen and Wood up to the bigs?

I usually don't react like this, this early in the season, but Logan clearly needs some time in AAA, and Harang can not keep being allowed to start games.

Surprised Lincoln (or Hernandez) went away from the curve on Loney, Johnson, and Kemp. He fed the other hitters a steady diet and had them completely off balance.

So I guess this means all those great performances in September and Walt's magic didn't really take.

It's a shame Harrang has lost it as he seems like a genuinely nice person. But this is business.

Someone else said it, but the Dodgers brought something to the field that no amount of hope or internet wishful thinking can overcome: talent.

Yankees were 15-17 last season on May 12 and were on pace to give up over 1000 runs. I guess their moves didn't take either. ;)
