Brandon Phillips since being moved up to the 2 spot in the order is hitting .333/.375/.556

The best part is his K/BB ratio is at 1:1. If he keeps that up hes going to be a freak all season. He probably wont though because its just not the type of hitter he is in the long run but its a good sign if you ask me.

I'll say it again - I HOPE they keep him there. With that type of slash line, I wouldn't be against paying him $11M next year.

K:BB ratio 7:4

Hes score 14 runs as well.

Reds are 10-5 in games since then.

Likewise, Id like to know Stubbs' numbers since moving down in the lineup, as well as oCab at leadoff.

BP is and always has been a perfect #2 hitter. It's about time Dusty realized it. I think it's kind of unfortunate that he's been in other spots in the lineup because I feel that it messed with his plate approach.

Phillips' move to two in the batting order pretty much coincided with his public flogging for lack of hustle and poor attitude. Maybe the calling out by his manager and the media struck a nerve. The talent has always been there. Let's hope he continues to improve.

Somebody else said it, BP is a great #2 hitter. I'd add, ONLY, if there is a lead off getting on base in front of him. Well Cabrera is getting on. Stubbs is now hitting where he belongs, and doing better. You would think that the Reds, Minors Directors, management, etc., should have been able to communicate that 2 years of trying to make a lead off out of Stubbs didn't work. He only hit when he was dropped in the batting order.
