View Full Version : 5-11-10 Cincy vs. Pirates (Cueto throws 1 hit shutout)

John Fay posted the lineup so I figured I'd go ahead and get a game thread started here. We have a Paul Janish sighting tonight and Heisey is apparently our leadoff man tonight. :D

Reds
Chris Heisey 8
Brandon Phillips 4
Joey Votto 3
Scott Rolen 5
Jay Bruce 9
Jonny Gomes 7
Ramon Hernandez 2
Paul Janish 6
Johhny Cueto 1

vs. RHP Charlie Morton

The tarp is on the field. It’s raining ever so lightly.

No Pirates lineup yet and I really hope the rain stops for them soon. They may need a boat tonight, LOL :p:

Oh, it's raining like crazy so they won't play. Okay, now I understand why Dusty did this lineup. Little chance of it actually taking place. *sigh*

You know, after all the petitioning I've done to get Janish a start because of his defense and his hot start with the bat...he's been off so long now, he's probably forgotten how to both hit AND field.

The Hour-by-Hour forecast sure doesn't look good. I would love to see the Reds play with this line-up today. Just to pick nits, I sure would prefer Nix out there today after his double yesterday. I still like it and hope we can get this one in.

I disagree here. Jonny also had a hit yesterday in his only AB and is on fire way more than Nix right now.

Not to mention that enthusiasm. That kind of thing is infectious. Even more so on a young club. If he continues to play well, it'll spread.

Cedeno hit a grounder deep into the hole at SS. Janish barely got a piece of it with his glove & it rolled into left field. even if he is able to glove it i seriously doubt he could have made a strong enough throw to 1B to get the speedy runner. maybe if the catcher was running but not Cedeno.
