I've always been a huge fan of his, what are the chances we could nab him away from the O's for Yonder + some?

I Prefer Hanley, A right handed bat would be great in between Votto and Bruce

And why would we do this? He's a RF, and has played nothing but. We have our RF for a long time. Also, Markakis is a decent hitter, with minimal power and decent defense and isn't worth consideration for LF.

I'm becoming a big Jonny Gomes fan. Let's quit talking about trading for another OFer. I think Gomes/Heisey will be fine.

We will need a #1 starter eventually. And I'm all for bolstering the bullpen too.

A top, young, and cheap outfielder who's playing for a rebuilding team -- Why would the O's try dealing him again?

Markakis is well above average for his career with a .370 obp and .470 slugging and he could handle LF easily.

Obviously Gomes is hot, but there is always room for improvement.

Markakis, 2 HR's and 12 rbi's in 147 at-bats this season.
Gomes, 5 HR's and 24 rbit's in 105 at-bats this season.

Neither are much of a base-stealing threat.

I'll keep Gomes, thank you very much.

He's on the Orioles dude. Markakis has the same batting average but his OBP is much higher as he has 18 more walks (2 less Ks) than Gomes and a better glove. Markakis' #s would be superior to Gomes if he was on the Reds there is no doubt in my mind.
