What is ridiculous is all they have to do is start the pre game earlier. They should start the telecast at 7 or 7:30 do whatever pregame they want to do and then the game could start around 8 where now it will start closer to 9.

I read somewhere that he might start on Sunday if he starts during the Reds series at all. The Rockies weren't sure how much he would pitch tonight and didn't want to start him if he threw a bunch of pitches. I assume we'll find out the pitching schedule soon enough. I think that throw by Mauer hit the second base ump in the head or shoulder. Sure looks like it did on both replays. I can't believe McCarver and Buck missed that. The ball was right on target and then hit the ump, then bounced into the outfield. It's pretty clear on the replay. The ump definitely flinched and the ball switched directions.
