Some guy named Strasburg is pitching for the Nationals. Hearing an expected crowd of 30-35,000 is expected at GABP tonight.

Time for Rolen to go on the DL, retroactive to whenever he last played, me thinks. Sick of playing short.

Will we see another 1-0 shutout?

I won't be surprised or upset if it happens, but I can also see the exact opposite happening because......Well, that's the beauty of Baseball.

I will do PBP tonight. SFC, frankly I don't care who we bring up, it's gotta be better than not having anyone in that spot right now. Not sure who I would bring up thought.

Disagree. I want Rolen right when he's healthy. If he is going to need another week to get ready and the Reds' 100% know it, great put him on the DL. If there is any chance he will be ready before that and it is not going to hamper his health going forward, I want him to be able to play. You don't DL the man just because you want to have an extra player available. Heck, Dusty only plays with a 23 man roster usually considering he never pitches Micah and barely uses Janish.

Definitely. It's just that I really wish they knew. We've already been playing short for almost a week. If you DL'ed him now, retroactively, he'd have another week or so on the DL to take off and get back to health, and we wouldn't be playing short, which who knows how long we will?

What's going on?
Stubbs hit a fairly shallow fly ball to right field, Bruce tagged up and got thrown out at home for the 3rd out of the inning. Pudge made a nice play coming up the line to catch the ball.

Don't really have a problem with the aggressive baserunning there...have to get what you can in a game like this

Yep...Hanny probably would have been walked...putting the bat in Arroyos hands to get the run in...I like my odds on forcing the Nats to execute...which they unfortunately were able to do.

Up out of the zone, but some hitters can hit that when its about 89 mph.
Still not an easy pitch to get to though.

Yeah. He put it where he wanted it, but not a good selection, IMO. You could tell from the pitch before that Guzman wanted that high fastball. He took the high curve and murdered it but way early. Then Arroyo gave him a fastball in the same spot.
