I challenge no one to make a post with any negativity whatsoever, just through the first 10 pages of the game thread tonight. It's a challenge. Take it on. No negativity, no matter what happens. If the Brewers do something good, or the Reds bad (or stupid) let whoever's doing PBP inform you of what has happened and move on. It's not a demand, it's a challenge. Good luck.

He doesn't do it to showboat. Remember when his brother used to post here (Coffeybro, I think)? He explained once why he does it, and there really is a reason but I can't remember what it is.

Anyway, I met Todd once at Redsfest and was impressed with his humble personality and good manners. He seemed to be a very nice guy.

I'm sure he is a nice kid, but the calling attention to himself, just as Chad and TO do) is something I cannot stand.

Wow, did you hear what Chris was just saying about how the Rangers treated Volquez? I think that's horrible.

OK, let me see if I can remember it all. They weren't happy with his pitching or his lifestyle (didn't explain that part). So they sent him to Bakersfield, which according to Chris, is the pit of the earth in minor league ball.

Michael Anderson, the coach there, was order to make him:

- cut his hair,
- not let his shirt hang out so far that it showed his belt,
- be at the ball park at a certain time and not even a minute late,

and several other restrictions that I can't recall. There were at least 8 things. It was really terrible the way he was treated when no one else on the team was asked to do those things, especially.

Were other people listening to their coaches? It's not like they were picking on him out of hatred or spite. And it looks like his career is better for it -- I wonder what Edinson thinks about it.

All the Reds player did was hit a homer, IIRC. No showboating, no nothing. Just took him deep.

Coffey is bitter against the Reds, so he drilled Stubbs.

Coffey has always got the benefit of the doubt on here from a lot of people because he brother posted here.

I don't agree with any of that stuff that Texas did, but I can see he hasn't changed. We all say the gun brandishing video of 18 months ago, the increasingly long hair, the seemingly nonchalant attitude. That drives some people nuts. I only care if he pitches well.

If he can get through 5, I'll be happy. I hope Dusty doesn't push him in to the 110+ range for the sake of an extra inning. Just give Fisher 2 and we're in ok shape.

It did seem like a little bit of "pick on the Dominican kid with no money, no English, and no other place to go", didn't it?

On the other hand, if someone hadn't instilled some discipline (as stupid as it might have been), Edinson might be back on the island by now.
