Dusty doesn't want to let ANYONE push him around. He's going to sink or swim with that ugly trifecta 5-6-7.

Votto with a hit and Cabrera out at home. I hate outs on the bases more than just about anything in Baseball. 1 Out and the clean-up hitter coming up. How stupid.

Ocab was out by a city block.

MWM

Stupid. Down 2 runs in the first inning and they're sending the guy when he obviously had no chance? Just dumb.

And how can Cabrera be THAT slow? He looked like Griffey running his last couple of years.

I feel a sweep coming here. Big time. This pitcher is no great shakes, but the Reds batters wouldn't know with all the early swings. In the meantime, Bronson has reverted back to being less than spectacular. This could be devastating with the Cardinals playing the hapless Pirates.

Reds are 13-22 so far this year against the class of the NL (Braves, Phillies, Cards, Pads, Giants and Dodgers). That has to swing up in a positive direction, otherwise the grasp on contention is likely to slowly fade away.

Sorry, but the Reds have zapped the enthusiasm out of me today. Every single team the Reds are fighting with for the playoffs bettered themselves today. The Reds, for their part, are content to watch the three-headed out machine that is Gomes/Bruce/Stubbs for the rest of the year.

And even though it's only 2-0, the way this team plays good opponents (especially day games), it's curtains in the 4th.
