If he wasn't Canadian, he could play a double header everyday.

johnfayman Votto "tweaked" his wrist yesterday on a swing. "I don't think it's serious. Hopefully, I'll be back in soon." #reds

He's hit about 44 HR's this season, all against the Reds, or so it has seemed. He's gotten an extra base hit, no kidding, nearly every AB vs the Reds this season, w/ 3 or 4 HR's vs us too.

Yeah. The series the Reds swept in Pittsburgh, it seemed like Cedeno had like 4 of the 7 hits the Pirates had, or something ridiculous like that. He was the only baserunner in Cueto's 1 hitter.

FWIW, Dusty just now said on WLW that Joey's been dealing with a slightly sprained wrist for the past 3 days or so. Happened on a check swing. Asked if he'll only be out for today. "No. It's a day to day thing".

I'm not sure who suggested it, but sending down an OF'er and bringing up Yonder sounds like a solid choice right now...just for insurance. I know it burns an option, but for a guy we most likely won't end up keeping...do we care?

Since Alonso already has a major league contract, IIRC, we would have already burned an option this year already.

Unless, of course, we did a deal with his agent for it not to count as an option year.

I believe it's referred to as the "Wily Mo" clause.

Though for some unexplained reason, we never utilized it there???

While I agree with that idea, I would say we would care, as Alonso would have more trade value with more options. That being said, I don't see any way that he is not brought up in September anyway.

He's on a major league contract, so I'm pretty sure we already used an option in March when we sent him down.

Am I the only one who sees a different Cordero since the ASB? It sure seems like it. He's been much better since then. The pitching inside has made a significant difference IMO.
I'm with you.

Although his arm is going to fall off if we keep pitching him like this.

True - but the pick up/drop pretty much was as the ball was landing/1st bounce.
