Pretty nice of him. Definately the right thing to do IMO

Per fay: Cueto confirms Phillips paid his fine. It was $1,000. Very nice gesture. #reds

Yea i thought this was a little strange as well, just $1.000? Was this the fine for the other guys as well?

a 1k fine for Cueto is like one of us getting fined about 10 dollars, so it's prob. no big deal to him. but still a nice gesture by Phillips.

Phillips seems to be a really great guy by all accounts. Saw him play in an exhibition game against AA Carolina last spring and he was one of the few Reds to take the time to sign autographs. Of course it also helps he was born in North Carolina!
