I'm going to surmise that Gomes actually did injure Bruce during the walk off celebration.

God I hope not. Here was my post at the time:

Rough win but a win is a win.

My questions is as follows: When are the crazy celebrations going to end? After watching the Angels and Marlins do damage this year, the last thing we need is Bruce going down with an injury.

Now back to you regularly scheduled celebrating!

If I can ask, why are you saying Gomes injured him? IIRC, the entire team was chasing him around and then Arroyo was going after him with a pie.

This wouls be quite the cover-up, since he was in the lineup the next game then got pulled late.

Redsfan320

Let me say that at the moment OCab is pushing Stubbsley down in the lineup. I'm cool with this. HOWEVER, if Bruce comes back soon , and he goes down in the lineup because OC (along with BP) is up top, I will be furious. Furious.

The thing about the celebration is that Bruce worked so vigorously to stay away from everyone, I wondered then whether he'd get injured moving around so quickly, almost like a running back avoiding tacklers. Just my theory.

Important for Wood to do work and keep the bottom of the Cardinals lineup from causing damage.

Yeah. He's shown a great ability to stay focused this year when he lost a couple no nos late. I think his ability to keep on producing and remain unaffected is what I lke best about him.

Not that the Reds have a huge lead, but it is pretty big all things considered. It makes me nervous. This team does not seem to handle leads against good teams well.

I just pray that Dusty has whoever is pitching on a short leash if they falter. This game is super crucial.

Oh and I know there are other fellow Oregon Duck fans 'round these parts (Hi WOY!)...my beloved Ducks opening w/ New Mexico at home. They have jumped out to a 59-0 lead in the first half. Back up RB Kenjon Barner w/ 5 TD's and over 200 yds from scrimmage.
