Why? Yes Brandon has struggled lately. But he IS bound to snap out of it sooner or later. And we certainly need him to. And again, Dusty's correct...he could indeed go 0 for 4 and still be an asset on the field. Dusty's certainly been known to make some rather bone-headed remarks...but I don't see it with this one.

I kind of agree with 320 here. Phillips is clearly hurting, as you're alluding to. They need to get him rested up and healthy. I'd rather take the chance the Reds lose a game or two without him than have him 70% (or whatever he is) in the playoffs.

He certainly seems to be ready with the bat. If he can't play LF he'll be gone. No reason to keep him in the minors and not trade him for a position of need. I'd like to know how bad he was in LF and how long a look he actually got. ABG.
