Magic number is 2.....Reds win, Cards lose and it's all over. It could happen, but I have this feeling we're going to lose big today. Hope I'm wrong.

Regardless, this is starting to feel inevitable. I am getting excited.

Samardzija did pitch 5 2/3 shutout innings against St. Louis in his last outing, but I don't see that happening again.

Reds = Homer Bailey
Padres = Richard Clayton (13-8)

Gonna be a tough one for the Reds. I'm sure Dusty is resting certain guys in a day game after a night game too.
