Not knowing anything about his game, I would have guessed he'd follow his dad to Ann Arbor.

He's playing the wrong sport if you ask me.

Terrific player. But the historian in me wants to see Shane in a Reds uni some day. Not a Cavs jersey.

Just like you wanted to see Stephen Larkin in a Reds jersey?

Is he considered a better baseball prospect or basketball prospect? I don't know anything about him, other than his dad is a famous former Reds player.

Question about athletes' children.
They tend to be great athletes themselves. Is is in their genes, or is it in the culture in which they are raised? I know it is some of both, and in some cases, yeah, it is all in their genes. But I think often the environment in which these kids are raised is underrated in terms of how it got them where they are.

I think it is mainly genes and work ethic.
