According to MLBtraderumors.com the Reds along with others have had discussions with Boston for Marco. The Sox want bullpen help. Boston is hoping to get something done soon. I for one am for it a leadoff hitting shortstop.

I'd prefer to deal for the Twin's JJ Hardy who is also rumored to be available. I feel like Scutaro's defense is slipping, and he's never been a world beater offensively. I'd probably prefer Scutaro over Bartlett though.

I would bet even money that Janish/Cozart either provides similar or better offensive production than Scutero next season.

I would bet the house that Janish/Cozart provides better WAR per dollar than Scutero.

I wouldn't take him if they offered him for free and paid half his salary.

Scutaro is solid, but I wouldn't overpay.

I would prefer to start Janish...our biggest position of potential upgrade is LF.

Signing Scutaro would be a year late and a dollar short...Janish will do just fine.

this fascination with getting another SS is mind boggling. janish is fine, what else does he need to do? unreal.

Say no to Scutaro!

Janish is the man. Can give up his defense for Scutaro.

I don't think this will materialize. I think Walt will go after a left fielder instead.

I don't think Janish is "fine" but Scutaro would be a disaster in terms of payroll & production for that amount of money.

We are in bad shape if Janish is the starting SS for next season.Glove work great, bat not so much. And how are we in good shape with Cozart who has yet to play a major league game?

I would like to see a Reyes for Cordero Mets - Reds Trade...

Pretty much a Salary Swap.

And open the door for the Mets to swoop in and sign Jeter?

Mets not inclined to trade Reyes, and they would want a lot more than Cordero for him.

Carlos Beltran for Cordero and some fidgiting with the salaries to make the money work for both sides might interest them.

He just signed a 3 year $21 Million Deal with the Dodgers.

I would have passed on him anyway.
