To Reds- Z. Grenike

and

To KC- Volquez, Wood/Leake(there pick), Heisey, J. Smith, and Valaika

then

To Reds- Ellsbury and about 4 mil.

and

To BoSox- Cordero

These would help all clubs involved and could happen money wise.

Look at the Reds after these trades
Starters
1) Greinke
2) Arroyo
3) Cueto
4) Bailey
5) Wood/Leake

lineup
1) Ellsbury LF
2) Phillips 2B or Stubbs CF
3) Votto 1B
4) Rolen 3B
5) Bruce RF
6) Stubbs Cf or Phillips 2B
7) Hannigan C
8) Janish SS

Looks solid to me on all fronts.

I wouldnt trade Leake or Wood in that trade for Greinke, but I would put Heisey, Volquez, Cozart, etc in there. IMO

I honestly don't have enough time to deal with how much is off in this scenario. Please wake up.

I'd rather have Choo than Ellsbury.

I'm with you. Trading Cordero for Ellsbury wouldnt be bad, but the trade with KC would make me irate if that happened.

I think Sizemore could be had more than Choo just because Cleveland can afford Choo, and would be ok with Dumping Sizemore's salary...

The Reds are lucky if Cordero has a net of 0 value right now with his contract. To think the Red Sox would trade a starting player AND money for that is unrealistic.

I don't understand why people keep responding that they want Choo. Of course you do, so does everyone including Cleveland. They are a small market team with no offense. For them to trade a great offensive player that is young and makes very little money doesn't even make sense. Unless you're suggesting that we blow them away with a deal that lets them rob us in terms of value, then they might consider it. Short of that, Choo is one of the most untouchable players in the league. Comparing him to Ellsbury who could very well be on the market for any decent offer isn't a fair comparison.

If the Reds-Royals trade happens, the Reds have one more winning record or two more winning records in this decade. If it doesn't happen, we'll likely have one almost every year. That's like trading all of your young talent for one pitcher, who is good but not even dominate.

Bailey and Wood could be moved for a top-tier pitcher - we need that. I'm hesitant to trade Edison or Leake however.

Like someone else on here said. Wood is on my short list of players I absolutely do NOT trade. Also, how many times does it need to be pointed out that in recent trades, there was RARELY a time when a team had to give up as many players as proposed in the OP. I'd be irate if that trade went down.

Hondo, I would like to see the REDS GET Sizemore cause it would solve both openings I am glad somebody else see that.
