Heisey. And while that may have been an overstatement, he is hot right now, and whether you like him in his own right or not, Gomes is the weakest starting OFer right now.

Absolutely terrible. The 1-2 pitch was CLEARLY strike 3. Then the Dbacks get a free run on the next pitch. Amazing.

That 4th pitch looked VERY good. I can't believe he got squeezed that tight. It's not like Woods is missing the strike zone...he's just getting hammered.

Who is the ump? I mean Willie Bloomquist took 2 great pitches ...did not even move ..so either he was fooled or we are.

Mark Grace for AZ was wondering if the pitches were low or inside....beacuse from the TV angle they looked like strikes.

He's had 18 ABs. Just no. If you want to do it against lefties for a bit, fine, but there's a righty on the mound.

I recommend it because it's not simply 6.5 games, but because his K's are a HUGE share of his ABs. He could end up pushing and falling into a deeper funk. Sit him down and let him catch his breath, then try again. We need him to get it together.

One heck of a play in the Rockies/Pirates game. You'll see it on webgems or whatnot. Bases loaded, top 10, 2 outs, diving stop by the Pirates 3B and makes the throw from one knee. Impressive.

Plus the best way to get over a slump is to play through the slump. And I'm not even sure Bruce is in a slump, this is only the 7th game.
