Close this thread before the Front Office reads it and gets an "Idea"

He was with the Mets last season. He is 40 but posted a 4-2 record with a 2.30 ERA in 47 innings last year.

We don't really need a reliever right now, we have starters coming back soon, which will give us more in house relief pitching options. Also, Arredondo has been good so far on rehab, and will have to be on the major league roster.

I think we should see if Michael Tucker and Dimitri Young are available too.

I would agree. He was a much better pitcher than I ever thought he would be while with the Reds and carved a nice career for himself - but I don't think we need to go down that road.

Not a bad thought though.

Elmer is like 40 man! He was effective like 8-10 years ago, but not now. Heck, let's go get Pete Harnish, Steve Parris and Juan Guzman while we're at it! :alcohol:

No, I refuse to acknowledge he's wasted up. 2.40 ERA! AR is older than him.

Is Pokey still available as well? We need someone to fill the void at 2B till BP gets back.

Willie Greene could be offered to play some for Rolen.

How about Chris Stynes or Mike Frank? Then if we get Dimitri back we could once again have the fabulous OF of Young, Frank, & Stynes!

He actually wouldn't be bad to sign to a minor league contract if he would agree and then bring him up if and when he is ready. He had a good year last year and his splits were pretty close to even.

Where's Brandon Larson?

There was a post game radio show at like Applebees or something and he was the guest, and signed my hat. Cool guy, but told me Paul Wilson was going to lead them to the playoffs. Liar.

"Well, cross him off then!"
