32 SB & caught 8 times in 07
23 SB & caught 10 times in 08
25 SB & caught 9 times in 09
16 SB & caught 12 times last season

he is only on pace for 9 this season

Last year he was injured for a bit

Is he healthy now?

For him to get 15 mill a season he needs 25-30 SB

He's not that young anymore, and Drew Stubbs is a better steal threat. I'm happy to take the improved defense and high batting average over the steals.

But he is batting .211 this month

...and .313 on the season. Come on, did you really expect him to stay as hot as he was at the beginning of the year for each 10 game stretch in a 162 game season?

Makes me worried when guys my own age are said to have "lost a step."

BP doesn't get the best jumps, and his speed isn't what it once was.

His baserunning is still impressive though, he can head-first slide around a tag like nobody's business.

Really could have used a SB tonight in the 9th, would have scored on the Rolen single.

Not sure what he was thinking trying to go first to third on Pujols, maybe on the Pirates that play works.

SBs are such an overrated stat. Keep playing good defense and getting on base at a decent clip and that's all we need. He's still hitting for very decent power for a 2B.
