Renteria and Masset

Unsung heroes last night. Masset's two innings were sparkling and kept us in it. Renteria's double was obviously huge, but his walk in the 10th was a work of art.

If Masset keeps throwing like the back half of last year, it's a major upgrade. And Renteria just keeps bringing me back to the same question: what do we need more--his bat/experience or Janish's glove?

Janish has to be our everyday SS. Renteria's age shows more with extended playing time but the guy still locks in as well as anyone at the end of games. As a backup/pinch hitter he will be huge for us.

Masset is just flat out nasty right now, when he's on he makes it look easy.

From Right-Centerfield last night, a good view of the plate. The movement on Masset's curve was visably, un-hittable.
