Just prior to the injury he'd been 10 for his last 27 with 5 doubles (.370). 0 for 10 since. It always stinks when a hot player gets hurt...regardless of who.

FYI, Carp's last 2 outings he went 110 and 116 pitches respectively, so I look for him to be in around the same amount of time. He's at 54 pitches now...and counting. ;)

Wood is working too high in the zone for my tastes. He comes down from time to time, but he's up in the zone a lot. Usually you've gotta have a lot more gas to work high that often. Or if you have an established rep for working low and then suddenly adjust to work high...I'm hoping that's what he's doing.

How long has Gardenhire been around?

I'm not sure, I think he came in around the same time Guillen did. Showalter's had a bunch of gigs and it seems like forever, but he's had long layoffs in between. Francona's been around over a decade I think too...plus a winning club. I'm sticking with my five though.

I doubt it. He's over 100, they've been moderately stressful and the pen's pretty well rested. Might be a good time to debut Arredondo (chappy needs work too)
